osBGT

osBGT is OpenState's first osToken to be deployed and it is unique in many ways as it differs from the other osTokens (osUSD, osETH and osBTC), here are the key things to know about osBGT:

  • osBGT is backed and overcollateralized by other BGT LSTs such as Infrared's iBGT, all of this backing is held in PSMs and protocol owned liquidity in osBGT pools.

  • osBGT doesn't have a staked version, BGT APYs are very volatile which makes it unsuitable to have a sosToken. Instead of having a staked token osBGT aims to be the liquidity of aggregator of other BGT LSTs through the usage of PSMs and third party LPs on AMMs such as Kodiak (instead of having ten different LPs for various LSTs osBGT can provide liquidity for all at once as it matures).

  • In order to boostrap osBGT's starting PSM is iBGT held within Origami's oriBGT vault, more PSMs will be added overtime as the BGT LST wars evolve and more clear winners emerge.

  • OpenState holds no native BGT and thus doesn't do boosting or manage validators, all of the backing for osBGT is composed of BGT LSTs and protocol owned liquidity in osBGT pools.
